The Small World X Kleiner Shames

Fez Medina, Morocco

3rd -10th May 2026

In October 2025, I was lucky enough to be given a place on the Fez Art Residency in Fez, Morocco—spending a week immersed in the winding alleyways of the world’s oldest medina,

connecting with locals and makers and discovering artisan crafts.

A week wasn’t enough.

It re-sparked an idea I’ve been mulling over for years: to create a self funded, collaborative trip for a small group of artists to immerse themselves, exchange skills and create something meaningful with a local community.

Here’s the plan:

3rd–10th May 2026, I’m taking five artists to Fez.

Danny Frost - Jack McIvor - Fran Plummer - Patch Plummer - Finn Burford

Together, we’ll collaborate with the local community and paint a mural I design in a shared courtyard—creating an exchange of ideas, techniques, and cultures. It’s not just about creating a piece of work; it’s about expanding each artist’s practice, building connections, and learning directly from the people and traditions that make Fez so unique. The experience will be mutually beneficial—offering the visiting artists new perspectives while giving local participants the chance to explore mural-painting and to engage with a group of multidisciplinary artists with backgrounds in printmaking, animation, film, painting, woodwork and sculpture.

To make this happen, I’m funding the trip by pre-selling a limited edition screen print and zine which I will create once I return from Fez,

as well as three bronze sculptures.

To support the project, you can purchase:

– A limited edition, five colour, A3 screen print I will design, inspired by the mural we create in Fez. Pre sale price £55.

– A zine documenting the full journey. Pre sale price £17.

– Three bronze sculptures made following my last trip.

All of these prints, zines and sculptures are available on my website shop

Every purchase directly supports the project—enabling this group of artists to travel, collaborate, and create something lasting with the community, while drawing inspiration from one of the most culturally rich places in the world.

Simple as that: you support the work, and become part of the story.

Join us on Friday 24th April
6pm-9pm

For an evening to have a drink and hear more about the project.
